Mittlerweile kommt jedes vierte in Deutschland verkaufte Import-Produkt in der Elektroindustrie aus China. Bei den Elektro-Exporten hingegen verläuft die Entwicklung in ruhigeren Bahnen, wenngleich auch hier China immer weiter an Bedeutung gewinnt und mittlerweile zum drittwichtigsten Abnehmerland für deutsche Elektro-Produkte aufgestiegen ist.
