Manufacturers of Electronic Components organised in the Electronic Components and Systems Division and the PCB and Electronic Systems Division within the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (ZVEI) and other partners are driving the Umbrella Specs since many years. After manifold activities we are presenting examples of Umbrella Specs in the internet as typical values.
The current criteria for product families are described in the corresponding guidelines and forms of the different product segments.
If you start your inquiry: Please first check to which Umbrella Specification a product belongs - by part number or sales description. This information should be provided by the supplier of Components via a CrossReferenceFile on the individual company-homepage or upon request.
It's our goal to offer as many Umbrella Specs in the public internet as needed in order to describe the material data of the majority of Components. There will be only a minority of special products which cannot be described with Umbrella Specs. In these cases please contact the companies directly.
