The Electronic Components Division within the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (ZVEI) is driving the introduction of Umbrella Specs approximately since fall 2001. After a long and hard but successful way and after many discussions we are now presenting first examples of Umbrella Specs in the internet.

Who coordinates the activities?

• The Electronic Components Division within the German Electrical and Manufacturers Association (ZVEI).

What are the benefits of Umbrella Specs?

This method to define the contents of materials in products is quick and easy without considerable loss of accuracy, it saves time and money for all partners: OEM, vendor and supplier.
