ZVEI comments to Inception Impact Assessment for the Battery Directive (Position Paper)

ZVEI participates in EU Impact Assessment for the Battery Directive

The revision of the EU Battery Directive 2013/56/EU is gathering pace. The EU Commission has announced a proposal for future battery legislation for late autumn 2020.

New battery technologies, but also questions of sustainability and circular economy require a revision of the directive. The electrical industry and ZVEI support this initiative. We have participated in the public hearing of the EU Commission with a position. In 10 points we present the view of the electrical industry on the topic.
