Cyber Security

Without IT security, no production

If, however, an error or even a virus suddenly creeps into the network, production comes to a stalemate. And even a short stalemate can cause great economic damage. Good network technology alone is no longer enough: It must also be safe/secured. Only those who think IT security through will be able to protect their production from IT-based attacks or system failures. This requires holistic IT security approaches that can also be implemented in small and medium-sized enterprises.

In order to develop an integrated IT security approach for your own company, there are a few points to consider: Which values should be protected? Which IT security measures are suitable for this? And how good is the current corporate strategy for IT security?

The ZVEI offers an easier introduction to the relevant security standards and papers in the orientation guide for manufacturers to IEC 62443, which filters out the manufacturer-relevant requirements from these papers. The focus is on the IEC 62443 series "Industrial Communication Networks - IT Security for Networks and Systems", which has been esspecially developed for industrial and automation environments.
