The German electro and digital industry continues its upward trend: New orders and turnover recorded double-digit growth rates in August. Demand from countries outside the euro area was particularly strong, while companies' export expectations also improved significantly in September.

Exports of the German electro and digital industry to the rest of the world came to €23.5bn in July 2026, leaving them 11.9% higher than the year before. With it, their value grew more strongly in that month than, on average, in the first half-year.
