Incoming orders for the German electro and digital industry were up 9.3% (year over year) in September 2025. Domestic bookings rose by one tenth (+10.3%), while foreign clients raised their orders by 8.6%. With it, new orders from the euro zone grew by a two-digit rate, namely 14.7%. Bookings from third countries increased by 5.8% in September.
October 2025
Exports of the German electro and digital industry missed their previous year’s level in August 2025. They were down 1.7%, reaching a value of €18.3bn. Weaker exports to both of our biggest customer countries China and the USA contributed significantly to the decline.
