In January 2026, the first month of the running year, new orders in the German electro and digital industry were 3.2% up on their pre-year value. With it, incoming bookings keep rising. It should be recalled that in the full last year 2025 new orders in our sector had at last risen by 5.7% once again.

Exports of the German electro and digital industry continued to grow at the beginning of the current year 2026. In January, our sector’s aggregated deliveries abroad came to €20.4bn, leaving them 4.1% higher than in the same month a year ago.
