ZVEI whistleblower system

The reporting office enables ZVEI e.V. to detect legal violations at an early stage, promptly initiate investigations and take measures to avert risks and damage to the association, its employees, member companies and the general public. 

It is a central component of the ZVEI e.V.'s compliance management system and contributes significantly to the integrity and legal security of the association.
 

Who can report?

The reporting office is available to anyone, including

  • all employees of ZVEI e.V.,
  • employees of member companies
  • and other third parties

(each irrespective of gender)

Anonymous reporting to an independent reporting office

  • You can submit your report anonymously via the reporting office.

  • The reporting office is operated on behalf of ZVEI e.V. by eagle lsp, an independent legal tech company, which receives and reviews incoming reports and acts as your direct communication partner.

What can be reported?

  • Any actual or imminent violations and/or infringements against 
    • internal regulations (such as the ZVEI statutes or the guidelines for our association work) and
    • external laws and regulations (e.g. with regard to association law, antitrust law, anti-corruption, money laundering, occupational health and safety, human rights).
  • Please describe the facts clearly and in as much detail as possible. 

Report to the best of your knowledge and belief

Submit your report only if you believe it to be accurate to the best of your knowledge and belief, meaning you have reasonable grounds to assume that the information provided is correct.

If so, you are protected as a whistleblower in particular as follows: 

  • Confidentiality: Your identity and the persons named in the report will be treated as strictly confidential by the reporting office (Section 8 HinSchG). Information will only be disclosed if required by law (e.g. official order, legal proceedings, deliberate false reports). Provided that no investigations are jeopardised, you will be informed in advance before any disclosure (see Section 9 HinSchG for exceptions to the confidentiality requirement).
  • No sanctions for errors: Anyone who submits a report to the best of their knowledge and belief is protected even if the suspicion expressed and/or the legal relevance of the report is not confirmed after the investigation. 
  • Protection against reprisals: ZVEI e.V. ensures that appropriate measures are taken to prevent any form of reprisal, including threats or attempts thereof, against whistleblowers acting to the best of their knowledge and belief (Section 36 HinSchG).
