ZVEI recommendations on the „Digital Omnibus on Data, Privacy and Cyber“

In the context of the European Commission’s Omnibus initiative on data, privacy and cybersecurity, we have developed recommendations to roll back mandatory B2B data-sharing obligations where no market failure is demonstrated, ensure effective protection of trade secrets in the Data Act, prevent disproportionate burdens under the Cyber Resilience Act, and move beyond isolated amendments towards a coherent, competitive and innovation-friendly regulatory framework in the GDPR – all proposals are set out in our ZVEI position paper.
