Communication in the Context of Industrie 4.0
The Automation Section promotes dialogue between industry, politics and society and represents the interests of the German automation industry vis-à-vis politicians in Germany, Europe and worldwide.
Industry 4.0 is inconceivable without connectivity and communication. The elements of the various value chains exchange different types of data for different purposes in order to fulfil their respective tasks. This will be achieved in the future by service-oriented architectures (SOA). The associated changes are discussed in this document.
