Failure Reasons for Insulations

Isolation materials are subject to an aging during lifetime, independently of their quality. The dependence of aging on temperature, tension (stress, partial unloading), frequency and environment (contamination) are pointed out in the information sheet as well as constructional measures are described.

The succinct illustration does not claim to be exhaustive – particularly in regard to the quite complex interdependencies, but it offers a first entrance into the topic.​
