White Paper: Module-Based Production in the Process Industry – Effects on Automation in the “Industrie 4.0” Environment

Driven by ever shorter product launch times, the chemical/pharmaceutical industry, in particular, is developing modularization concepts for its process plants.
In 2013, the “Modular Automation” working group was established in the ZVEI.
During the working group’s work, it was found to be expedient to create a white paper containing the status of the discussions for further talks with Namur.
