Artificial intelligence is transforming how we work, communicate, and produce. However, the global AI discourse is largely shaped by applications from the United States and China — from generative language models to digital assistants. In this context, Europe often appears to be lagging behind. Yet this view falls short. Beyond the platform economy lies one of the greatest opportunities precisely where Germany and Europe have traditionally been strong: in industrial applications, where AI can play a decisive role in the future.
